Our Environmental Policy

Although we are not part of any official schemes, we do believe that any waste product has an environmental impact as well as a financial one.  Therefore it is important to us all here at Acon Cutting Formes Limited that we do our best to reduce the amount of waste that we produce within our production process as much as we can.

Where possible our waste is segregated into special bins for recycling, this is collected regally by a local waste management company.

We are currently able to send for recycling with this particular company.

• METALS

They also remove our general waste destined for landfill, which we try to keep to a minimum.

INK CARTRIDGES AND TONERS

Toner cartridges are returned to the shop for re-use when we purchase a new one.
PRINTER INK CARTRIDGES are donated to RAINBOWS CHILDRENS HOSPICE, a local charity we support throughout the year.  These are re-filled with ink and then are re-sold.  RAINBOWS receives £1 for each cartridge that they can recycle.

WOOD

The plywood sheets we use for our Die-Boards are where possible sourced from suppliers that conform to the FOREST STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL (FSC) and the PROGRAM FOR ENDORSED FOREST CERTIFICATION SCHEAMES (PEFC).
