A BRIEF HISTORY

ACON CUTTING FORMES LIMITED formerly ACON EQUIPMENT (LEICESTER) LIMITED.

Acon was originally set up over 45 years ago as Acon Equipment (Leicester) Limited to produce Strip Steel Cutters for the local shoe manufacturers and nearby automotive companies.

We very quickly adapted our knife making skills and experience to begin manufacturing Wood- Formes for Die-cutting the printed sheets produced by Leicester’s blooming Print Industry.  So as the local Printers flourished this soon became our primary business.

As time went by we decided to develop this process even more to enable us to make the Deep Rule Cutters being used by the ever expanding Plastics Industry.  These cutters are used to cut out the fancy shapes of Vacuum formings and Blister Packs so widely used in a variety of mainstream products today.

As Acon evolves further still, we are now able to use our many years of expertise and experience not only to produce a variety of Cutting Tools, but to offer you a complete Project Management Service from concept to finished product.
